ITEK Green Technologies provides solutions for reducing noise pollution.
Noise pollution is unwanted sound that affects hearing, concentration, work efficiency or causes accidents, defined as noise or “noise pollution”.
Unwanted sound is mainly divided into two groups:
- Irritating noise from e. g. ventilation systems, fans, motors and similar.
- Harmful noise from strong sources environments > 80 dB (A) and impulse sound > 130 dB (C).
Mapping and measurement
- Correct measurements should be performed by personnel with the right competence and equipment
- Noise exposure is the average noise level over an eight-hour workday
- Impulse noise should be included
- Personal dosimeters provide daily noise dose normalized to an eight-hour workday
- Stationary measurements can be used to identify noise sources in addition to this
Both noise level and duration determine how one is affected. 3 dB represents a doubling of sound power
ITEK Green Technologies provides:
- Sound traps for fan and filter systems
- Sound boxes and chambers for fans
- Sound absorption and shielding
- Sound walls, absorbing/non-absorbing
- Curtains
- Cabinets
- Choosing solutions with better efficiency
- Frequency control of motor speed
- Vibration dampers
